RULES

Atletica Susa, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Susa and the Lower Susa Valley and Cenischia Valley Mountain Communities, with the patronship of FIDAL and WMRA, organises the 6th Marco Germanetto Memorial, a mountain running race for young people, taking place on Sunday 26th June, 2005 in Susa (Turin).

The race is reserved for athletes in the Allievi (born 1988-89), Cadetti (1990-91), Ragazzi/e (1992-93) and Esordienti (1994-95). The race will have international importance for the other categories, and will be as well valid as the 5th Race of the Piedmont Regional Championships and of the Grand Prix of the Piedmontese Mountain Communities 2004.

The Allievi/e race will be open to foreign teams, as invited by the Organization Committee. All national team will be made by three female and three male under 17 maximum, and the Committee will give hospitality to six athletes and two group leaders for every nation. Athletes belonging to national team, even if born after 1989, will compete in the Allievi /e race.

Tracks, regularly approved and adequately signalled, will be wholly on grassy ground, with ascending and descending parts, and will respect, in length and gradient, the Italian Federation of Athletics (FIDAL) parameters for the mountain running.

Inscriptions, including name, surname, data of birth, must be sent by fax at 0122 629415 or mail to staff@atleticasusa.it, before 8 pm on Friday 24th June. The application fee is 3 Euros.

Both for the female and the male race, there will be a Nation rating, summing up the two best positionings, and a Society rating, based on the rules of the Young Regional Championships.
As in the Regional Rules and according to their charts, a cash refund will be made to the first 5 regional male societies and the first 4 female societies.

At the arrival and throughout the track restoration and control stations will be appointed, and the Italian Red Cross will provide medical assistance and first aid.

The Organization Committee, while caring for the best outcome of the race, rejects any liability for accidents to people, animals and things before, during and after the race.
For the matters not noted in this Rules, the FIDAL technical and societary rules for mountain running will be referred.

Esordienti A+B (1996-1998): 500 meters
Esordienti C (1994-1995): 785 meters - difference in height: 15 meters
Ragazzi/e (1992-1993): 1300 meters - difference in height: 50 meters
Cadette (1990-1991): 2500 meters - difference in height: 100 meters
Cadetti (1990-1991): 3300 meters - difference in height: 135 meters
Allieve (1988-1989): 3300 meters - difference in height: 135 meters
Allievi (1988-1989): 4900 meters - difference in height: 200 meters

- Saturday 25th June:
18.00: official ceremony in Susa

- Sunday 26th June:
8.30: Athletes meeting at Susa - Villa San Pietro
9.30: National teams' presentation
9.45: esordienti category's start
After: categories ragazzi/e - cadette - cadetti - allieve - allievi's start
14.30: Prize giving
