WMRA International Youth Challenge

RULES

1. Atletica Susa, , in cooperation with the Municipalities of Susa and the Lower Susa Valley and Cenischia Valley Mountain Communities, with the patronship of FIDAL and WMRA, organises the 9th Memorial Marco Germanetto, a mountain running race for young people, taking place on Sunday 22th June, 2008 in Susa (Turin).
2. The Allievi/e race will be open to foreign teams, as "WMRA International Youth Challenge". All national teams will be composed of three girls and three boys 16-17 years old, and LOC will host up to six athletes and two team leaders for each national team.
3. Courses, regularly approved and adequately signed, will be on grassy ground, with ascending and descending parts, and will respect, in length and gradient, the Italian Federation of Athletics (FIDAL) parameters for the mountain running.
4. Entries, including name, surname, date of birth and nationality should be sent by fax ( 0039 (0)122 629415) or mail to staff@atleticasusa.it, not later than 8 pm on Monday 16th June.
5. There will be a team ranking for girls and the boys race, summing up the three best positions. Points will be awarded according to position in the race with no adjustment for non-team competitors. Minimum score wins. In the event of a tie, the team whose last counter is nearest the winner takes precedence.
6. At the arrival and along the course control stations will be appointed, and the Italian Red Cross will provide medical assistance and first aid.
7. LOC, while taking care for the best outcome of the race, rejects any liability for accidents to people, animals and things before, during and after the race.
8. For the matters not noted in this Rules, FIDAL mountain running rules will be referred.
